28 May 2025 – Henge announces the official launch of Henge Lab, a new in-house facility dedicated to research, development and technical refinement. More than just a production space, Henge Lab is a strategic investment in innovation, artisanal knowledge and long-term product excellence.
The lab has been created with a clear mission: to optimise production processes, improve quality control and speed up the development of new finishes, treatments and design solutions. It represents a key step in strengthening Henge’s identity as a brand that balances cutting-edge innovation with deep-rooted craftsmanship.
One of the defining focuses of Henge Lab is the development of metal finishes, a hallmark of the brand’s visual language and material palette. From surface treatments to patinas and textures, the lab allows the team to explore new aesthetic possibilities while maintaining full control over consistency and quality. These finishes are not only technical achievements, but also reflect the brand’s dedication to detail and its signature, tactile approach to design.

By bringing this capability in-house through the acquisition of a specialised metal-finishing division, Henge strengthens its supply chain, gaining greater agility, independence and responsiveness to design challenges. This move also supports a more sustainable production model, reducing reliance on external processes and allowing for closer monitoring of materials and techniques.
“Henge Lab is an investment in knowledge and quality,” says Paolo Tormena, founder of Henge. “It allows us to experiment directly with materials and processes and to continue offering collections that are the result of innovation, craftsmanship and a global design perspective.”
Henge Lab sets itself apart from standard production areas thanks to its experimental nature. It’s a space where ideas are tested, forms are refined and techniques are perfected, serving as an internal incubator for future collections. Whether working on custom finishes, developing entirely new surface treatments, or pushing the limits of metalwork and other materials, the lab is designed to be flexible, creative and technically rigorous.
The first outcomes of this work will be visible in Henge’s upcoming releases, with new finishes and refined details that reflect the lab’s growing impact on the brand’s design evolution.

In the broader strategy of Henge, this new facility plays a central role - not just as a site of production, but as a creative and technical engine for the brand’s future direction. It brings together expertise, innovation and strategic foresight, anchoring Henge’s commitment to quality and originality in every detail.
