THE HENGE CHALET
A story of light and matter in the heart of the Dolomites
16 October 2025

Cortina d’Ampezzo, a symbol of elegance and modernity, is home to the Henge Chalet: a private residence designed by Paolo Tormena, CEO of Henge, and architect Isabella Genovese. A space that celebrates the dialogue between design, architecture and nature.

Built using reclaimed larch wood from old tabià, the traditional barns of the region, the Chalet embodies Henge’s philosophy of authentic materials, balance and harmony with the surrounding landscape. Architect Isabella Genovese preserved this aesthetic coherence, reinterpreting the spaces with a contemporary and functional approach.
Generous windows flood the interiors with Dolomite light while the three suites and the two-level living area open onto breathtaking views that reflect the timeless beauty of the Tofana.
“I strive to represent a way of living that feels authentic where interiors and landscape coexist in harmony. It is in this balance that imperfections become beauty.” Isabella Genovese
“We wanted to preserve a sense of balance and wellbeing working with light and matter to express our idea of the mountains.” Paolo Tormena
Three suites overlooking the Tofana, a generous living and dining area arranged over two levels, and natural materials that invite warmth and reflection.
A retreat where tradition meets contemporary design, embodying Henge’s distinctive vision.
